2020 Review

My husband put on the song ‘September’ a few days ago and I literally felt sadness in my body. I’m used to hearing that song when surrounded by about 100 people on a dance floor and there is probably spilled wine on the floor and grandma just got pulled up from her chair and is dancing with her grandson while a bride twirls with her college roommates. Instead, I was cleaning crumbs off of my kitchen countertop in my pj’s.

There weren’t any big dance parties this year, but there was still a lot of love and people who chose to celebrate something, anything at all! People felt a lot of loss, especially the loss of their expectations and their dreams and plans and family members. I’m amazed and inspired by the people who still chose to hire me to document this season of life as weird as it felt. I’m so thankful that my first full time year in business survived amidst a pandemic. I eager to see what this next year holds. Thank you thank you thank you for being here.
