We won’t get today back. We need to remember where life happened, who was there, how it felt and why it mattered. It’s important to me, and it’s important to you.
Life is about celebrating and acknowledging your season. It’s about taking the time to give thanks to your family, your space, yourself and your love. It’s about inviting someone to share these moments with, and to make a way to preserve them.
I'm a teacher, photographer, maker-lady and foster parent in the burbs of Chicago; I consider myself the luckiest to witness all kinds of people evolving in an ever-changing city. No two seasons are ever the same, and making photographs and films out of sacred moments is my constant passion. The moments are so brief, but remembering and celebrating this life is an absolute gift! I'm here to help you cherish and preserve the time we have together.

My favorite item in the house is the disco ball. One of the things my husband and I are most proud of: training our dog May to play hide and seek.
TRAVEL
Cape Town, South Africa + Lilongwe, Malawi and Bellingham, Washington are my top spots.
KIDS + CHICAGO
We love Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and are learning how to support kids and families who live close to us through foster care. Our hardest, and best work and what I am most passionate about.

Cassie was absolutely incredible to work with! Not only did she make the planning process less stressful, but the day of, she was such a fun energy to have around. You spend some of the most personal moments of your day with your photographer, to have someone there that is so positive and respectful felt crucial. I feel so grateful that our day was captured the way it was.

Cassie recently photographed my small backyard wedding, and I am so, so grateful for her professionalism and talent. Cassie is everything you could want from a "wedding vendor," and more! On the big day, she knew how to put us at ease and gently direct us when needed, but she also just felt like part of the fun! When the skies opened up, she had umbrellas in her car. When the tech failed, she cheered us on and helped wrangle our guests. She beautifully captured all of the moments we told her were important to us. We have great memories of working with Cassie and would recommend her for anything.
