Kayla + Robert September Backyard Wedding in Barrington
When Kayla and Robert told me they were getting married in her grandmother’s backyard I knew this was going to be special. During our walkthrough I asked Kayla if she had imagined getting married here for awhile, and she said she didn’t have many strong feelings about anything other than the location of her wedding since she was a kid. Getting married at Grandmas was a dream come true, and photographing backyard weddings are kind of my dream come true. The girls got ready in Kayla’s moms childhood bedroom, the guys walked around this stunning home and posed with as many unique objects as they could find, we took portraits in the library and in the green house, and their ceremony was held in the garden. It was magical, and rainy, and intimate and personal in every way.
By the time I got to the main road after driving down the long driveway, I could still hear Lizzo blasting. I danced in my car the whole way home. This was a good one, friends.
