Julia + Evan Celebrate Engagement in Chicago Home

I totally get the draw of taking photos next to, under, or near some of the most iconic places in Chicago. I mean, it is Chicago. I ran around the city for three hours with my soon to be husband to hit up all the iconic Chicago spots for our wedding portraits. But our most recent photoshoot was in our house where we feel like we are actively building a relationship we want, snuggling our dog, making a mess and sometimes making dinner. It is our most natural place to be.

After suggesting some of those iconic Chicago spots to Julia and Evan, they replied with something along the lines of “we think we want to take photos in our home to represent our everyday”. SIGN ME UP, PEOPLE. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Cozy couch, nice light, two people who literally couldn’t take their eyes off of eachother, and when I walked in Evan was pulling cookies out of the oven. Dang, dude. Was this my dream day????

They get married next year and wondering if I can convince them to just have their entire wedding in their living room too?
